After fighting crime alongside Batman for several years as Robin, Dick Grayson honed his combat and crimefighting skills overseas to return to crimefighting as Nightwing, without the aid of the Dark Knight.
Nightwing gained his own title with Nightwing #1, and this comic chronicles Dick Grayson's crimefighting experiences in Bludhaven, a town south of Gotham City that's even more crime-ridden than Batman's home turf.
